about bees

                                                      W.A.L.T how bees make honey

Did you know bees flap their wings 200 times per second and use their tongue to suck nectar out of flowers

Bees mostly collect nectar in Spring because more flowers are in bloom. they use their long tongue also known as a proboscis to suck the nectar out of the flower. And store it in their stomach once they feel full. And then they return to the hive

In the hive the bees regurgitate the nectar into each other's mouth until it gets sticky, then they store it in the honeycombs then the bees flap their wings to dry the honey then they cover it with wax also known as beeswax(fun fact did you know bees have to visit 2 0000 flowers to create 1 pound of
honey) then the beekeeper's collected to sell
