You have to make sure your car is the right shape and size.

in the book they had to remake their car because it was too wide at the back, I'm too thin at the front.

They have to use a why is so the cars but stay on the track.

It was a New Zealand competition for lots of the schools in the North.

In order for your vehicle to be aerodynamic you have to make sure there are no heavier, more ragged parts to slow it down. Aerodynamics helps the vehicle to move smoothly and quickly from the air.

Goal setting

I have copied this from my other blog - Beau's Adventures, as I posted it there by mistake.

This is my goal setting sheet. My four goals are.   1. Practising and getting better at butterfly in swimming. 2. Getting better at spelling and trying to get 10 out of 10 every week. 3. Trying other things in art and trying to get better at drawing people. 4. Fishing with my parents. I have caught fish in the past but I haven't caught anything big, so I would like to do that one day. I hope one day I will complete these goals. And maybe create new ones.

Camp reflection

Last week we went on a camp trip to Aroha Island, we went on this trip to learn lots about the environment and do the fun projects. The projects were lots of fun they included, kayaking, walking and Kiwi searching.

The people there at camp were Tui (my class) and the other class Kereru. Kayaking with lots of fun but it was very difficult, it was difficult because we had to do 3 kilometres we had to paddle against the wind and tide.
We also had to do a 5  kilometre walk. I had lots of fun at camp, apart from when I cut my eye I got bleeding nose, but other than that it was fine. I can't wait to go there again next year. Do you think you would have fun there?

Maitai Bay Brochure

W.A.L.T  Creating a blog post about Maitai  Bay brochure.

Last week we created a brochure about Maitai Bay. We made this brochure because earlier on that week we went on a snorkel trip to Maitai Bay. we had to do the brochure in buddies or you could be independent, but l chose a buddy, my buddy was Robert, we came up with lots of ideas for how to explain Matai Bay and what you can do. For this project we had to include lots of information about Matai Bay, but not too much otherwise anyone who picks it up well just put it back down if it's all writing. Me and Robert included  information about the natural environment, where it is and what you can do. Here's a picture of mine and Robert brochure.

I enjoyed this because I was writing information for other people to learn about Maitai Bay, and it was just fun. I learnt lots more about Maitai Bay because I was researching stuff to put on the brochure. what do you like about Matai Bay, and would you like to do this one day?

W.A.L.T. uploading a post showing what we did in kiwi can today.

Today in Kiwi can learning about respect, treating people how we wanted to be treated. We showed the by playing two games, they were called snap crackle pop and so, ma, ca, lo. This is how you play snap crackle and Pop, first you get into a group of three and you name each other, snap, crackle or pop, then you all get into a big circle and when someone says either, snap, crackle or pop, for example if someone says pop, pop has to run around the circle and go under snap and crackles Lakes which are together and try and get the jandal in the middle of the circle. whoever has the most points wins. Here's a picture of how you play so, ma, ca, lo.

The catchphrase today was, we respect our school we do because we are cool. I am enjoyed this day of kiwi can because it was lots of fun and I learnt lots of things about respect, the games were also so much fun I really like feeling exhilarated and exhausted at the end. Do you like Kiwi can  ?

Snorkelling practice

On Tuesday we went snorkelling to practice for when we go to Matai Bay next Tuesday. We had tree tasks to do with a buddy of our chocs, the first task was to snorkel wall holding onto a board and swim to one side of the pool and back, the second task with the same but without the board, the third tasks was to dive under the water come back up and blow the water out. It it wasn't that much but it was good practice. My snorkelling buddy was James, we had lots of fun. It was quite tiring and I did get water inside my snorkel but it was fine. I learnt how to blow water out of the snorkel after I went down. I enjoyed put my head underwater and be able to breathe. I think I could improve on holding my breath underwater for longer. Do hat do you want to go snorkelling?
